One Stop Shops

Good News! Contacting Liverpool City Council is now easier than ever! You can contact us by telephone, through our Liverpool Direct call centre [link to ccwkjv4bt3] or for those of our customers who would rather speak to a customer service advisor face to face we are developing community-based One Stop Shops.

What is a One Stop Shop?
The One Stop Shop is a community-based building serving the citizens of Liverpool. A place where customers can go to request a City Council service, make general inquiries, access information and carry out any other Council business, all in one location. One Stop Shop employees are specially trained in all the services the One Stop Shop offers and will, wherever possible, try to resolve your query on the spot.

Where are the One Stop Shops?
The first One Stop Shop opened in Kirkdale on 29 January 2001 followed by Dingle One Stop Shop in February 2001. Our city centre One Stop Shop, in the City Council's Municipal Buildings, Dale Street opened in April 2001.

Kirkdale: One Stop Shop, 101 Walton Road, Liverpool L4 4AU
Dingle: One Stop Shop 200 Park Road, Liverpool L8 6SJ
City Centre: One Stop Shop, Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool
L69 2DH

What about my area?
Liverpool City Council is planning a network of One Stop Shops across the city. Our aim is to open fourteen by 2004.

Can I use any One Stop Shop?
Yes, no matter what part of the city you're in, you can access City Council services through the local One Stop Shop.

What Are the Opening Hours?
To make accessing services easier for our customers we are open:

Mon,Tue, Wed and Fri 8am - 5pm
Thursday 8am - 8pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm

Can I pay my Council Tax at a One Stop Shop?
Yes. The One Stop Shop can take cashless payments i.e. you can pay by cheque or debit card.

What else is there in the One Stop Shop?
Every One Stop Shop has an information kiosk where you can access information on the City Council's web site. We are currently looking to develop this service to enable customers to access other useful information, including job vacancies.

We have also included a video conferencing facility where people can access City Centre-based Council officers for more detailed, technical information on services such as planning applications. Video conferencing is also used to enable customers who do not have English as their first language to contact the City Council's translation service.

We are keen to make sure One Stop Shops develop to meet the needs of the community and the people of Liverpool. If you would like to make a suggestion or comment regarding One Stop Shops, please contact:
