Best Value
Best Value is the title of Government legislation to ensure all local authority services meet the standards people expect, at a reasonable cost.
Liverpool City Council and Best Value In March 2000, Liverpool City Council published its first Best Value Performance Plan - an honest attempt to set out a balanced picture of how we were performing as a local authority.
In last year's plan we reported:
-
That our performance in many areas was not as good as it should be
-
That the residents and businesses of Liverpool deserved better
-
What action we were taking to correct this to ensure the city of Liverpool regains its status and positive reputation, nationally and internationally
In this year's plan we report on:
-
The vision for the city
-
Our priorities for the future
-
The progress we have made over that last 12 months in key areas of service
-
Our targets for the coming year
A summary of this year's plan will be sent to all households and businesses in Liverpool during April 2001. Click here to download the Full Plan and the Summary from this web site.
